Would you like some salsa with your bamboo?

On Wednesday (Oct. 10) Tokyo’s Ueno Zoo released a video showing the zoo’s wildly popular panda cub Xiang Xiang and her mother chowing down like there’s no tomorrow.

In the video, which was published to YouTube by Sankei News, the one-year-old panda cub and her mom can be seen energetically eating bamboo for around two minutes.

Although quite cute, the video is also a bit odd in that the music that plays in the background has a distinctly latin feel to it. This is almost certainly due to Sankei News just choosing to slap the first royalty free song it could find in its collection onto the footage released by Ueno Zoo and nothing more, however, this interesting pairing of hungry panda footage and salsa music results in a somewhat confusing but upbeat video that is perfect for watching after a long stressful day at work. Check it out below.

By the way, that enthusiastic bamboo munching Xiang Xiang displays in the video is in large part possible because she now has all four of her adult canine teeth. Bon apetit, Xiang Xiang!
