Definitely not the way to a woman’s heart.
Smartphones are an indispensable part of modern life. However, use one the wrong way and, as an incident that happened in Shizuoka on Tuesday proves, you might end up in handcuffs.
The alleged incident took place on Tuesday (Sept. 25) at about 6:45 p.m. on a street in the Shizuoka city of Yaizu. It was at this time when police say a 23-year-old company worker named Shota Tsukada ran after a 25-year-old female company worker while at the same time trying to show her a pornographic video playing at a high volume on his smartphone.
Police say they had been receiving reports since June about similar incidents occurring in the area surrounding JR Fujieda Station. Because of this there was a police officer on patrol in the area. After spotting the fleeing victim, the officer headed to the scene of the crime to investigate but the suspect had already fled by the time he arrived.
Police used a description of the suspect’s appearance and other details to identify the suspect as Tsukada. They arrested Tsukada on Wednesday (Sept. 26) under suspicion of having violated a public nuisance order regarding indecent behavior. Police are currently investigating Tsukada’s connection to other incidents.
