Your going to need a towel for you ears.

Japan loves fireworks and summer is peak fireworks season. It’s perhaps because of this that a new Japanese YouTube channel dedicated to ASMR videos decided to release a rather peculiar fireworks-themed video this week.

Released on Tuesday (8/20), this roughly 13 and a half minute long audio-only video features a recording of what is presumably a Japanese fireworks display. However, aside from the soft sounds of fireworks going off in the background one can also hear quite clearly the sound of what appears to be a female enthusiastically and noisily licking something.

The description of the video offers little information other than the type of digital audio recorders that are used to produce the recordings on the channel and a brief generic explanation of the kinds of sounds found on the channel. This brief explanation translates as such: “Ear licking, massage, slime.”

Take a listen for yourself but if you’re averse to the sound of someone licking your ear, you may want to think twice before hitting play. Also, to really get the full effect of someone licking your left and right ears alternatively, you’ll want to put on a nice pair of headphones before starting the video.

In case you’re unfamiliar with ASMR, it is an acronym that stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. Wikipedia describes it as “an experience characterized by a static-like or tingling sensation on the skin that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine.” Although it is not experienced by everyone, in those who do experience ASMR, it is usually triggered by soft sounds such as whispers, light taps, and gentle scratching or, yes, even licking noises. Those who do experience ASMR often describe it as being pleasurable and/or relaxing.

If you happened to really enjoy the video above, then you’re in luck because even though the YouTube channel (Nakame Asmr) the video was uploaded to only began uploading videos at the end of July, it already has quite a bit of content for you to enjoy–and much of it involves ear licking.

For example, if you’ve ever wondered what it would sound like to get your ears licked by a Japanese woman while riding on a train in Japan, then you’ll want to check out the 20 minute long video below.

And if you enjoy the iconic sound of Japanese cicadas, then check out the video below. Naturally, it too features plenty of licking noises.

According to the information on the channel, there should be one to two new videos uploaded to Nakame Asmr every week, so if you want more, make sure to subscribe and hit the notification bell.
