Japanese cat lovers are about to get very violent nose bleeds.
At the end of 2017, the editorial staff at the long-running weekly tabloid magazine Shūkan Taishū threw a major curveball at their readers when they announced that they would be releasing a special end of the year edition of the magazine focused solely on cats. Titled Shūnyan Taishū (nya is the equivalent of “meow” in Japanese), this special edition features all of the sexy and salacious content the magazine is known for but with a feline twist. Yes, even the sexy scantily clad models usually seen in the magazine were replaced by some of the hottest Japanese pussy cats around. Although certainly bizarre, it appears that Shūnyan Taishū was deemed a success because it has been announced that the kitty tabloid will be returning with a second volume this year.

Set to go on sale on December 26, Shūyan Taishū Volume 2 is jam-packed with all sorts of absurd cat content including the magazine’s trademark fukuro-toji section. Literally meaning something along the lines of “sealed bag,” this is a portion of the magazine so risque that it has to be sealed shut. You can only tear it open after purchasing the magazine. Of course, being that this is Shūnyan Taishū there are no scantily clad sexy Japanese girls here. Instead, there’s nothing but hot kitties. And this time around the photo spreads focus on “sibling love” and “same sex love,” so it’s definitely not for the faint of heart.

Also in Volume 2 of Shūnyan Taishū is a report on a beautiful 20-year-old “mature” cat and her secrets for staying healthy and attractive, a story about cats getting caught in the act of committing crimes, and a spoof of the Japanese news program News Station called Nyasu Station, which is hosted not by the newscaster Christel Takigawa but rather Christel Nekogawa (neko means cat in Japanese).
