Erina Kamiya sure knows what her fans want to see.
On October 27, Erina Kamiya, a gravure idol and member of the pop idol group Kamen Joshi (Masked Girls) started her own YouTube channel. Being no stranger to internet fame thanks in part to video like this one from this pas February where she teaches viewers how to take their shits off swiftly and efficiently, it was only natural that her YouTube channel would be fairly successful from the get-go. However, thanks to a number of over-the-top videos it appears that she may be well on her way to becoming a top Japanese YouTube personality in no time at all.
In one of the more ridiculous of these videos, Kamiya can be seen wearing Mentos covered full body tights and then getting into a bathtub filled with Coca Cola. As you probably already know, when you drop Mentos into a bottle of Coke what you get is a forceful jet of black carbonated sugar water spewing into the sky. So what happens when you put Mentos into a Coca Cola filled bathtub? Well, to be honest, it’s a tad bit anti-climactic but the video is still worth checking out if even just to see how much work Kamiya puts into setting up this stupid stunt. Also, she appears in full body tights, so if you’re into that sort of thing, this is the video for you.

Currently, Kamiya’s Mentos-Cola video has over 450,00 views. However, she has another video which to date has not only gotten her more than double the views but also quite a bit of media coverage outside of Japan.
In this other video, Kamiya tries her best to break a stack of those curved Japanese roof tiles, called kawara, that you often see martial artists break with the knife edge of their hand or their fists as a show of their excellent technique and strength. What’s so special about that? Well, she doesn’t use her hands. Instead, she chooses to use her voluminous G-cup sized boobs to split the tiles. And boy does she try.
First she tries with one breast and then she switches to the other, only to fail. So in order to get more leverage she lowers the tiles to the floor.
Once on the floor Kamiya tries again and again and again but just like before she just ends up with smashed boobs and intact tiles. Feeling disheartened, she stands up to clear her head and think for a bit about what to do next. This is when she “accidentally” ends up using a different, but still very round, part of her body to break the tiles.

As random as this video may seem, Kamiya herself explains at the begging of it that this is a direct response to a video recently put out by fellow pop idol and Youtuber Nanaka Kawamura. In the original video, Kawamura, who is a member of the music group Alice Juban and has some actual martial arts training, successfully breaks several kawara the proper way (with her hand). At the end she gets a bit creative though and tries to challenge herself even more by using her head to break some leftover tiles. Needless to say, it doesn’t go that well (still better than the boobs strategy though).
