Sexy legs and big boobs, she is the embodiment of every guy’s fantasy, right?
From middle-aged eagle men to giant pink dog poops, Japankyo has covered a number of bizarre Japanese mascots in the past but the one we’ll be looking at today may just take the cake.
Who is Paiko-chan?
The name of this bizarre mascot is Paiko (a.k.a. Paiko-chan) and she is an alien from a planet called Paira.
Meet Paiko!
As you can see, this strange female mascot has some sexy human female legs, the upper body of a bird and giant Q cup (yes, not D, E, F, or G, but Q) breasts with hearts for nipples.
Her name and the name of her planet are derived from the Japanese word for breasts which is oppai.
As for her backstory, well, to say it is creative would be an understatement.
Planet Paira
Planet Paira is located near Earth and is shaped like a heart with rings around it (like Saturn) and nipple-like protrusions at what appears to be its double breast-like north poles (see above). This strangely shaped planet is near yet another planet you’ve never heard of, Planet Udon, yes, like the soup. Unfortunately, the Udonians and the Pairans don’t get along. In fact, they get along so poorly that in all of their shared history they have been in a total of four “Great Dashi Wars” (dahi is soup stock, in other words, the Udonian’s seem hell bent on making the Pairans into soup stock).
Paiko arriving on Earth
After the fourth Great Dashi War, most of the male Pairans were wiped out and so the planet was in a major crisis. As a way to combat this the Pairan rulers decided to send “Ambassador Paiko” as part of a mission to scout out human men and bring them back to Planet Paira.
Paiko has a particular fondness for men with money and she uses both her “bird” form and her alternate “human woman” form to “bewitch” them.
Paiko likes the Yukichis (Yukichi Fukuzawa, the guy on the 10,000 yen note – in other words, she likes money)
When Paiko arrived on Earth she realized that she and the Pairans had made one mistake though. They had thought Japan was still in the midst of its prosperous “bubble economy” and so there would be a lot more well-off men to seduce and take back to Planet Paira. Unfortunately for her, the “bubble” burst quite some time ago and so Japan’s men don’t have quite as much money as she was hoping they would (you would think Earth-money wouldn’t really matter since she’s taking these men to a different planet but… perhaps we souldn’t worry too much about whether this story makes sense).
Here is a video of Paiko performing her original song and dance. The lyrics mostly go over her backstory. However, the lyrics also make mention of her “youthful breasts,” “tight butt,” and love of money.

So who the hell would come up with this bizarre big breasted mascot? Well, the person behind (and most likely inside) Paiko is Takako Hayakawa, the manager of a Tokyo bar/tavern/ramen shop called Ramen BAR Snack Izakaya.
Paiko made her debut in 2015 and appears to have mostly been a fun? strange? way for Hayakawa to draw attention to her shop, a shop which also happens to have on its menu a salt-soy sauce broth ramen with the peculiar name of “oppai ramen” (literally, “breasts ramen”).
Hayakawa’s shop is located near the Gakugei-daigaku Station on the Tokyu Toyoko Line (see address below). Although there’s no guarantee that you’ll get to see Paiko at Hayakawa’s bar, if you go you can be sure of one thing, you’ll be able to enjoy a nice hot bowl of delicious Japanese boob noodles. Yum!
