The Japanese “robot hotel,” Henn-na Hotel (変なホテル), opened up its second location in the city of Maihama in Chiba Prefecture on Wednesday (Mar. 15).
After it opened its first location in 2015 on the grounds of the Huis Ten Bosch theme park in Nagasaki Prefecture Henn-na
Hotel (literally translates to “Weird Hotel”) made headlines around the world for being
the world’s first robot-staffed hotel.
Located near Tokyo Disney, this new Maihama City location makes it possible for even more people visiting Japan to find out what it’s like to stay in a hotel run almost entirely by robots.
The new location features about 140 robot workers, including a robot dinosaur at the check-in counter, robot fish in the aquarium, a voice activated robot assistant in each room and many other kinds of robots.
