Definitely not the best way to get rid of stress.

On Monday (Feb. 13) police in Fukuoka arrested a woman who, if their allegations turn out to be true, either really hates cigarettes or was having a hard time quitting smoking.

According to police, last December, the suspect, a 40-year-old woman, used a stick-like object to break the front panel of a vending machine selling cigarettes in a shopping center located in the Fukuoka city of Kurume.

The woman’s alleged actions resulted in about 48,000 yen (451 USD) in damages.

Police arrested the woman on suspicion of property damage. It is currently unknown what the suspect’s motive was or if she stole any of the cigarettes from the machine after breaking it open.
