They say if you fold 1,000 paper cranes you get to make a wish, but what about 1,000 poops?

Whether you’re a beginner trying to learn how to do origami, or an expert looking to spice up your paper art repertoire, YouTube offers some great origami tutorial videos. In today’s article we’re going to be taking a look at five of the more interesting origami tutorial videos on YouTube. And don’t worry, these videos are pretty interesting even if you don’t do origami, so definitely try to make it all the way to the end of the list.

5. Totoro

First up, we have a nice tutorial video teaching you how to make a fairly easy but very cute origami version of Totoro from the Studio Ghibli film My Neighbor Totoro (Tonari no Totoro).

4. Fidget Spinner

Next, we have a a fun paper version of a fidget spinner. It’s not quite the same as a standard fidget spinner, but it essentially does the same thing. For best results you may want to get a toothpick.

3. Umbrella

At number 3, we have a how-to video for an origami umbrella. It’s too small to actually use as an umbrella though. Plus it’s made out of paper so it won’t really keep anything dry… so it’s kind of pointless… still interesting though.

2. Poop (unko)

At number 2 (yes, that was intentional) we have origami poop (or as they call it in Japanese unko). Have you ever wanted to make your own paper poops? Well, now you can! And the best part is, you can make your poops in absolutely any color!

1. Toilet Paper Origami

Given that number 2 was an origami poop tutorial, it only seems appropriate that number 1 should be toilet paper origami. Yes, this entry is a bit different from all the others, but it’s still technically “paper folding” so it’s origami.

But why would you ever want to fold something meant as paper for wiping your butt into something beautiful? That’s obvious. By making your toilet paper as beautiful as it can be, it shows your guests that you care enough about them to take the time and effort to make your toilet paper aesthetically pleasing for them. Thus, all good hosts should turn their toilet paper into art. So pay close attention to the three videos below.
