The Kumamoto Rugby Football Union has released three short videos featuring the popular bear mascot from Kumamoto Prefecture Kumamon.

Each of these roughly 10 second videos shows Kumamon trying his hand at a different aspect of the sport of rugby. As you might expect, not all of these videos end in success, but they’re all quite cute.

These videos were created as part of an effort to boost slow ticket sales for an upcoming June 10 exhibition match between the national Japanese rugby team and the Romanian national team. The match will be held at the Kumamoto Egao Kenko Stadium, which is one of the many stadiums all over Japan where matches of the 2019 Rugby World Cup will be played.
