Just in time for Easter, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu has released a music video for her 14th single, “Iisuta” (良すた), which is set to be released on April 5th.
“Iisuta” is a play on the Japanese phrase ii sutaato, which means “good start” and the name of the holiday of Easter. The music video draws on these two elements by showing Kyary Pamyu Pamyu in the role of a queen of an egg kingdom, singing about being positive and starting things off on the right foot, while at the same time participating in a parade with her magical friends. In other words, just a typical day for Kyary Pamyu Pamyu.
Musically, this song is a bit of a departure from much of her more EDM/J-pop inspired previous work, however, it certainly fits well with the magical parade theme of the video. Check out this new ‘Easter party song’ below.
