Never underestimate the drunken fist.

The Japanese pop idol group Yurumerumo! (You’ll Melt More!) has just released an action-packed music video inspired by one of the most famous series of kung fu movies of all time.

This new music video is for Yurumerumo!’s latest single: “Nebagiba Suiken” (Never Give Up Drunken Fist). Inspired by the classic 1978 Jackie Chan kung fu film Drunken Master and its sequel Drunken Master II, the video is an epic eight minute display of martial arts, dancing, and cute idol visuals.

Starring actress and Ryukyu Shōrin-ryū karate black belt Rina Takeda (Dead Sushi, Gothic Lolita Battle Bear, Danger Dolls), the video follows the story of an OL (female office worker) who learns the legendary drunken fist fighting style from the Yurumerumo! girls in order to fight back against her unpleasant and oppressive boss.

Aside from all the impressive action, the video also features plenty of Chun-Le-eque China-inspired cosplay.

Check out the video below. Note: the intro is a little over two minutes long. The music begins after the scene in which Rina Takeda is humiliated by her boss after apologizing to him for a mistake she made.
