Another excuse to visit Tokyo Disney.

Fans of Tokyo Disney have one more reason to be happy because it has been announced that DisneySea is about to get a whole lot more magical thanks to a massive 250 billion yen (~$2.26 billion USD) expansion.

Red circle indicates expansion area. Green is Disneyland and blue is current DineySea.

Set to be completed in 2022, the expansion will be centered around the theme of “a magical spring” and feature areas based on popular Disney films like FrozenTangled, and Peter Pan.

In the Frozen area, guests will be able to visit the magical kingdom of Arendelle and even dine within a restaurant inside a replica of Arendelle Castle. The area is also planned to feature a boat ride which will take visitors through the heart-warming story of Anna and Elsa, and, of course, feature many of the movie’s incredibly popular songs.

The Tangled area will feature Rapunzel’s tower, a moving gondola ride focused on the lantern festival, and a restaurant based on the Snuggly Duckling.

The Peter Pan area will take guests to Neverland and the home of Tinker Bell and her fairy friends, Pixie Hollow. Aside from a restaurant overlooking Neverland, this area will feature two attractions: one in which guests go on a boat ride to rescue Wendy’s little brother John from Captain Hook and his pirates, and another in which guests “fly” through Neverland after being sprinkled with some of Tinker Bell’s fairy dust.

And finally, guests will also be able to stay at a new 475 room hotel.
