Going crazy |
A music video trailer for music producer /DJ Yasutaka Nakata’s new single was released yesterday and it’s crazy crazy.
Nakata’s new single, which along with Kyary Pamyu Pamyu’s new song “HARAJUKU IYAHOI” went on sale Wednesday, is called “Crazy Crazy.” It is the product of an interesting collaboration with popular British singer/songwriter Charli XCX. The song was composed by Nakata and the lyrics were written by Charli XCX. The vocals are provided by both Charli XCX and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. This is Kyary Pamyu Pamyu’s first song in which she sings in English.
Kazuaki Seki, known for his work with major music groups like Perfume and OK Go, was the director for Nakata’s new music video. The video features CG avatars of the three musicians, Nakata, Kyary, and Charli, performing together as a fictional band. Seki also made use of the popular smartphone app Face Swap, which only adds to the already “crazy” feel of the video.
Although only a little over a minute and a half it’s definitely worth checking out. Especially, if you’re a fan of Yasutaka Nakata’s previous work.
And just in case you missed the release of the music video for Kyary Pamyu Pamyu’s new song, “HARAJUKU IYAHOI” then you can check it out below. Her latest single was produced by Yasutaka Nakata. The video, which was released last week, features all those crazy “kawaii” outfits and visuals that Kyary is known for. Enjoy.
