Where’s Yajirobe?
A cat in Japan with an uncanny resemblance to a character from the popular manga/anime series Dragon Ball has gotten the attention of a whole lot of Japanese Twitter users.
The character in question is Korin the cat, a.k.a. Karin-sama in the original Japanese, a.k.a. Whisters the Wonder Cat in the infamous Harmony Gold dub.
In case you forgot, Korin is a centuries old martial arts master that lives on a tower high up in the sky and is one of Goku’s early martial arts teachers. This cute little talking kitty is also the guy Goku goes to whenever he needs his fix of those magical Senzu beans.
And this is Toyo-chan!

Despite those narrow eyes and the fluffy fur that make this cat look remarkably similar to Korin, Toyo-chan is just a regular everyday cat. He can’t speak or (as far as we know) do martial arts.
Tweeted out by Twitter user Yashu (@FakeYashu) on November 19, the pictures above have gotten retweeted almost 50,000 times and liked over 90,000 times in less than a week.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time one of Yashu’s cats has managed to become a Twitter celebrity. In February of 2016, Yashu’s cat, a Maine coon named Toro-chan, got people’s attention when Yashu tweeted out these awe inspiring and somewhat scary pictures of his cat in front of a light looking down at him.

People remarked that Toro-chan resembled the wolf god Moro from the classic Studio Ghibli film Princess Mononoke. But again, despite the striking resemblance, Toro-chan too is just a regular everyday house cat.
If this keeps up, Yashu may end up with a whole stable of anime character look-alike pets in no time at all.
