Pucker up.

In anticipation of the release of their eighth single on January 16, the Japanese female idol group FES☆TIVE has released a music video, which is sure to put many of the group’s fans in a very festive mood.

Titled “Yurayurayurari Koigokoro” (very loosely translates to “A Swaying Heart in Love”), the new song is a catchy and energetic love song that blends elements of EDM with traditional Japanese instruments. Overall, it’s a fun track that seems likely to become a favorite at FES☆TIVE’s live performances. However, more than the song itself, what might end up making the biggest impact with many FES☆TIVE fans is the music video.

Aside from standard shots of the group singing and dancing to their new song, the video also features a love story acted out by the FES☆TIVE girls. It  is this love story that is used as the reason, or perhaps excuse, to get the girls to kiss on camera. The video features several shots of the FES☆TIVE members tenderly going in for kisses. To see for yourself, watch the video below.

This is hardly the first time an idol group has used kissing as a way to get attention. In fact, last year the male idol group MesaMoa released a music video which was even more intense than this one. If you’d like to watch that one, then check out the article below.
