Gaijin Goombah’s interest in Japan is one that goes quite far back and led him to both study abroad and work in Japan. The clip below was mentioned in the podcast and shows the infamous “Osaka Bang!” experiment that a Japanese TV program once conducted. This video was brought up when discussing the Kansai region in the podcast. Although a funny video, it’s important to keep in mind that this is by no means a scientific study nor do we know how many passersby did not react to being “shot.” It seems extremely likely that the show specifically chose only people who played along with the joke.
