The badass apple drummer from Aomori Nyango Star is back, and this time he’s in a video meant to promote the Japanese debut mini-album of the K-pop group EXO-CBX.
EXO-CBX is the first official sub-unit of the popular South Korea based Korean-Chinese boy group EXO. They were formed in 2016 and their debut EP, called Hey Mama!, was a massive success. Now, the three EXO-CBX members, Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin, are preparing to make their official Japanese debut in the form of a seven track mini-album called GIRLS, which is set to go on sale on May 24.
As part of the promotional campaign for this new album, the Japanese music label avex released a video starring the drumming apple themed mascot character from Aomori Prefecture named Nyango Star. In the video Nyango shows off his incredible skills as a percussionist by drumming along to “Ka-CHING!,” an extremely catchy and energetic track from EXO-CBX’s upcoming mini-album.
Check out the Nyango Star version of “Ka-CHING!” below and make sure to check out the second video if you’d like to watch the original music video for “Ka-CHING!”
