On December 7th, the actor and former Kamen Rider Satoshi Matsuda, chased and
caught a man suspected of taking upskirt video of the actor’swife.

According to police, the 37-year old, known in part
for his portrayal of the Japanese superhero Kamen Rider (Masked Rider) in the
series Kamen Rider Ryuki, was at a Kyoto shopping center with his 28-year old
wife at about 5:00 PM on December 7th when the incident occurred. As the
actor’s wife was waiting in the checkout line at a store the suspect, a 35-year
old man, approached her from behind and began using his phone to film up her
skirt. Upon noticing this Matsuda’s wife screamed which caused caused the
suspect to flee the scene. Matsuda, who was nearby, told his wife to call the
police and then he began to pursue the suspect. Matsuda chased the suspect for
about 100 meters before catching him in the parking lot of the store. Matsuda
restrained the man until police arrived and arrested him.

Okamoto, admitted to the charges saying “My urge to look inside her skirt
compelled me to do it.”

It’s good to know that this Kamen Rider is still hard
at work fighting evil doers over 10 years after his official stint as the
beloved masked hero ended. Sure, catching Japanese perverts may not be as epic
as defeating evil aliens with futuristic weaponry and armor but every little
bit helps. I wonder if he would have done the same thing if the victim hadn’t
been his wife though… But perhaps it’s best not to think about that. Interestingly,
about a month ago there was another news story involving a former Kamen Rider. Unfortunately,
that story didn’t have such a happy ending. Last month there was a report about
former Kamen Rider Blade star Takayuki Tsubaki getting into an argument with a
man who was on a motorcycle. The man’s brother, who was nearby, overheard the
argument and decided to help out his brother by grabbing a golf club and attacking
Tsubaki. Although the man was arrested Tsubaki ended up sustaining injuries to
his face. Thankfully, things turned out much better for Matsuda diand everyone
involved. With any luck next month we’ll get another Kamen Rider news story,
this time a former Kamen Rider ends up taking down an evil alien panty thief
empire while on his way to his local supermarket. One can only hope.
